Wow. After a close encounter with a black cat and a faulty ladder with a few loose screws (hehe), i finally made it. I am writing this in the middle of the night from my roof. Honestly, at first i didn’t think my wireless Internet could reach all the way up here, but here we are. The reason for doing this is because my house is located in a perfect part of the island where there aren’t that many lights or anything else that would ruin a perfect night like this…the moon is probably one day away from being full, it is directly over head, and there are very few clouds in the sky to block my view of it…my entire yard is illuminated beautifully, granted it won’t be winning any “cleanest yard” awards any time soon, but the moonlight brings the wonder out of everything. There’s a rock down there that, under the moonlight, is looking awfully ‘purty’…haha… ok enough with the meaningless banter. As you’ve probably noticed, absolutely nothing has been posted in a long time, that is because upon return from my trip, which was awesome, I was bombarded with 5x, neigh, 10x the usual amount of homework, plus the work i had to make up…all…wait that wasn’t emphasized enough…ALL, of my teachers have now decided to use printed worksheets for classwork and homework, thus rendering the work i diddo on the trip completely useless… Life is just swell… But enough of that, I am on top of my ROOF, yes i’ve been on top of my roof before but not on a night like this nor have i ever written anything up here…it’s inspiring.
On a side note, this has nothing to do with anything, but i felt it necessary to voice my opinion of the perfect comment, whether it be on myspace, facebook, or even here on wordpress. It is a comment i wrote on a friend’s blog on myspace, I ran out of ways to tell him that I liked his writings, so i wrote this:
so is this what you were doing yesterday morning? it’s absolutely poetic, so naturally i love it. there is much to be said about the level of awesomeness that radiates from the digitized lettering i am reading on my monitor, but to delve into just how awesome this is would call for not only a “murder” of ravens flocking to a decaying tree just moments from falling to the ground, surrounded by a lake…yes a lake, not a river, nor a pond, not even a puddle, but a LAKE of blood (I would have said ocean, but we actually want to get to this tree). and in this unholy lake of blood with a nearby “murder” of ravens precariously rested on the fragile branches of a decaying and great in size tree with a never ending shower of dead leaves falling from it’s branches…covered in ravens
…will lay myriads and myriads of bodies varying from all ages and genders and races all mysteriously floating down stream, eternally drifting among the murky and flowing “red gold”, never to find peace in an even more eternal grave, forever cursed to drift among the rest of the damned…now back to the tree, the decaying tree with the never ending shower of dead leaves falling from it, exhibiting a very gothic portrait of fall, with the “murder” of ravens crowding among the vast number of branches on the massive and aged tree that seems to be moments from collapsing over those under it……..:-o…wait, we then notice there are two people, a boy and a girl, underneath the tree, just sitting underneath, sitting, staring…they are facing each other, but are not staring at each other. They appear to be focused on whatever is behind the other person. Both laying rested, ever so still, on the large, overgrown roots protruding from the ground, covered in the dead leaves from the tree, but they don’t seem to be getting buried from the never ending shower of said leaves. We move closer to further examine the two, to possibly inquire what has begotten this place to become so beautifully horrific. Suddenly, we notice that they are not ignoring each other, they are dead… But something catches our eye, a note, a note most peculiarly placed on top of the girl’s chest, after carefully examining this note, upon it was scribbled, in the most beautiful calligraphy one may ever see in his lifetime, only three words, “I loved you” After reading that note, almost instantaneously, we notice another note in the boy’s shirt pocket, within it was written the same familiar four words, “I loved you too” From there, I can now say, neigh, shout to the heavens on high, that your blog is almost as awesome, ALMOST, not exactly as awesome, but very very, EXTREMELY, close to the awesomeness of the scene i have portrayed in my words…which i am quite certain that you will agree with me as well. That is all.
TTell<—XD cyclops crying.
Could you tell i was at a loss for words? *Pzzzt!* Announcer voice speaking in a condescending tone: For all of you kids watching at home, today’s magic word is “murder”, as in a “murder” of ravens, or a large grouping of ravens. This is also known as an “unkindness” of ravens! *Pzzzt!* Ok that was weird…I actually learned something…i feel a little bit more knowledgeable. Im sorry if i have instilled this same feeling upon those of you who have read this, i swear it will never happen again. I shudder at the thought. There will be no learning on my watch!!
Now to the next order of business, some are probably wondering what is the deal with my story, which is still nameless, (take care of that later) some are probably irritated with the sense of false hope that has unfortunately befallen most who have read my prelude drafts, some are probably banging their heads against their tables in hopes of forcing me to write the rest of my story, otherwise they will kill themselves, and to those people i say, take a picture of yourself, send it to me, i will then decide if i will speed up the writing process based on your level of cuteness
and whether or not you can survive reading a novel by Proust or decipher the demented innerworkings of a Poe tale. ~WARNING: this does not apply to males, if you are male and wish to participate, I will withdraw from grading you on cuteness but your aptitude in literary interpretation will be graded most critically, only fair warning…~
In it’s entirety, this blog really had no real purpose, other than to tell those who are still tuning in from time to time, that i’m still alive and kicking (barely) and that as soon as I watch the twilight movie, I will return to my work on the story. Which reminds me, I wanted to see how many are actually reading my blogs, and how many actually give a flying &$%# about my writing, and i want to try out the new red button…it’s poll time, not the shiny silvery things that woman dressed in scantily clad outfits climb upon, but the voting kind of poll…hehe, i know what you were thinking…anyway, i’m going to just throw out some ideas of titles for my story…and based off of what content i’ve already posted, let’s narrow our choices down…thanks to all
