No where to go, no time to spare
For anything else, not even despair
No day but today, no moment like this
As we fall into what is…unknown bliss
All time is halted, nothing else matters
While you put together what once only shatters
I move closer, my heart in your hands
I think, “You’re the only one who understands”
All feeling is fleeting, I start to go numb
As my hair through your fingers, you slowly strum
We lay here staring into each other’s eyes
Hoping we never have to say our good-byes
Nobody’s speaking, nobody cares
Against you, no one compares
I have to leave, we both don’t move
For I have one last thing to prove
I told you, “I love you”, but that’s not enough
At least for us, in a world so tough
To show you truly the size of my affection
You can always come to me for devoted protection
I ask you, “What do I want?”, you give me a shrug
“To spend forever with you, embraced in a hug…”

I love this ending. It made me want to hug myself, actually. That whole “warm and fuzzy” feeling inside.
This poem was cool, it had an extra rhythm to go along with the rhyming. It gives it a sort of . . . hmm, scratch that . . . it adds another element to it all. I like.
